Privacy Policy for Hazel

Hazel ("the app," "we," "us") is developed by Colby Bell / Parti Labs. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.
Information We Collect
Photos you take in the app. Hazel asks you to take a photo of your face to perform a personal color analysis. This photo is sent securely to OpenAI's API for analysis and is not stored on our servers. We do not retain a copy of your photo after the analysis is complete.
Your analysis results. Your color analysis results (season classification, color palettes, and recommendations) are stored locally on your device so you can view them again later. We do not collect or store these results on our own servers.
Purchase information. If you unlock the full version of Hazel, your purchase is processed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. We receive confirmation that you've made a purchase, but we do not collect or store your payment card details.
Camera and photo library access. The app requests permission to use your camera and, optionally, your photo library, solely so you can provide a photo for analysis. You can decline these permissions, though the app's core feature requires a photo to function.
How We Use Your Information
- To generate your personal color analysis using OpenAI's visual analysis API
- To process your one-time purchase for full app access
- To save your results locally so you can revisit them
We do not use your photos or results for advertising, and we do not sell your information to third parties.

Data Retention
Your photo is used only for the duration of the analysis request and is not retained by us afterward. Your saved results live locally on your device and are removed if you delete the app. We do not maintain a server-side database of user photos or analysis history.
Children's Privacy
Hazel is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices
You can decline camera or photo library access at any time through your device settings, though doing so will prevent the app's core analysis feature from working. You can delete all locally stored results by deleting the app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this document.
